Testing and evaluation of the wastewater treatment system at HTP building – district 9

NTS Engineering Co.,Ltd tests and evaluates the wastewater from the High-Tech Park (HTP) – FPT Building (F1–F2) in Thu Duc by conducting sampling, analysis, and comparison with current standards. This process determines the level of pollution, assesses treatment efficiency, and allows for system adjustments to minimize negative impacts on the surrounding environment.
All wastewater from the HTP building is collected and directed to the wastewater treatment system, which is designed with a treatment capacity of 180 m³/day.night. Through testing and evaluation, NTS Engineering Co.,Ltd found that the influent had a low flow rate, white foam appeared in the equalization tank, and several wastewater parameters had not reached ideal levels.
Faced with the above issues, NTS quickly resolved each issue, ensuring the system operates more efficiently, stably, and appropriately.

Challenge
Some of the challenges that NTS found after evaluating the wastewater at the project are as follows:
- The system has an actual wastewater flow that is too low compared to the tank system's capacity. The reason was the reduction in building operations during the COVID-19 period (2020–2021), which led to a much lower influent volume than the originally calculated design capacity
- The equalization tank has white foam. This may be due to the influent containing too many types of cleaning chemicals
The above problems affect the system's treatment quality. Therefore, NTS needs to take prompt and appropriate corrective measures.
Solution
From the wastewater test results, NTS has proposed appropriate solutions for each problem, specifically:
- Adjust the discharge valve of the air conditioner pump to help the system operate smoothly with appropriate capacity
