The project to build a wastewater treatment system for Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Rehabilitation- Professional Diseases aims to treat all wastewater generated from daily activities as well as medical examination and treatment operations.
The total design capacity reaches 240 m³/day.night, with the effluent required to meet QCVN 28:2010/BTNMT (Column B), k=1 and without affecting the urban environment or the general drainage infrastructure system.
NTS Engineering Co., Ltd is the selected unit responsible for consulting, designing, and constructing the complete treatment system, including components such as: collection tank, sedimentation, biological treatment, and water treatment technologies.
Challenge
Wastewater treatment in hospital environments has strict engineering requirements and epidemiological risk control:
- The wastewater contains high levels of organic matter, pathogenic microorganisms, and residual chemicals from the laboratory department, requiring an effective and absolutely safe treatment process
- Limited system layout space
- It must minimize odors that affect hospital operations
- Project progress must be closely controlled so as not to affect medical examination and treatment activities
Solution
NTS has chosen an aerobic biological treatment solution combined with a fixed substrate, ensuring thorough treatment of pathogenic bacteria and specific pollutants in medical wastewater.
